The movie/ documentary Helvetica was very helpful for experimental typography and thinking outside the box. There was one designer, I cant think of his name but he had to put an interview as a double page spread and the interview was so boring he couldnt choose a typeface so as he was scrolling down his hundreds of type faces he came to 'dingbat' and it was actually perfect as no one can read it and even if they could they wouldnt want to, However it was all the same type so you could quite easily highlight it and change it to a legible font
